“How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God
Because of you?” – 1st Thessalonians 3:9
Recently, a message on this verse it made me think of you; our partners and friends in this mission God has given us to Change a Generation. I was overwhelmed with gratefulness for each of you as I thought through all God has done at PCA this year through you. It is truly because of you we are so full of joy in the presence of our God. This month, as we look through all God has done, I invite you to join me in the following prayer: “Father, in light of all you have done, what would you have me do?”
God is not through with you yet. There is so much more for you to accomplish in His name on this earth. As you look through all God has done in your life, we pray you will seek God to know what he is calling you to do next. Is He asking you to reach out to a friend or loved one, to invite someone to church, to extend your grace of giving more to your local church or God’s global mission, or to spend more time in prayer and the Word. Whatever God is calling you do to in light of all He has done, we pray you will answer His call in your life.

HURRICAN ETA AND IOTA
Above are several of the struggling families we helped with food and supplies.
Words cannot express how wonderful your response has been. November saw the landfall of not one, but two Category 4 hurricanes passing directly over Palacaguina. Thankfully, we are far enough inland and in the mountains to not be impacted by the wind, but we were most certainly impacted by the rains. The night of Iota resulted in 14 families seeking refuge in the Baptist Church. We were able to immediately respond with mattresses for the families to sleep on and followed up with food to feed them. In addition, through your giving, we provided food for a week to 20 displaced families, repair for 1 of the homes damaged by the storm, and funding to repair the only bridge access to the community of La Pasuella. In only 2 days you raised $3,285 in emergency relief to accomplish all of this. And every recipient knows this relief comes in the name of Jesus!
Below is the damaged bridge and the displaced families we helped with mattresses.
GIVING TUESDAY
Today just so happens to be the annual Giving Tuesday. Thank you for all who have given so much to this ministry and we pray your giving today reflects the heart God has given you to make a difference for His kingdom. Thank you for having a passion to use the resources and blessings God has provided to bless others and make a real difference in this world. In all that Solomon found to be meaningless in this life, one thing he found meaningful was to do good. I pray you will find meaning in doing good with what God has given you.
“I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live.” Ecclesiastes 3:12
